1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or submit an order. We may update these terms at any time; continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Products and descriptions
We take care to ensure that product descriptions, tasting notes, origin information and prices are accurate at the time of publication. Tea is an agricultural product subject to seasonal variation; tasting notes come from real cuppings, but individual perception may differ.
Harvest and origin details shown on product pages are provided in good faith. We reserve the right to discontinue, substitute or reformulate any product at any time and without notice. If a product you have ordered becomes unavailable after payment, we will contact you to agree a replacement or a full refund.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are shown in euros (€) and include applicable VAT where required by law. Prices may change without notice, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight.
Standard shipping is free for orders with a product subtotal of €40 or more, before any discount codes or gift vouchers are applied. Payment is taken at the time the order is placed. We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers; we do not store your card details.
4. Order confirmation and cancellation
An order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order; it is not acceptance of a contract. We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing error, suspected fraud or product unavailability, with a full refund.
You may cancel an order free of charge provided you notify us before it has been packed and dispatched. Once an order has been packed and shipped it can no longer be cancelled, but you retain your statutory return rights below.
5. Shipping and delivery
We aim to dispatch within two working days of an order being placed. Delivery times depend on destination and carrier; estimated transit times are shown at checkout and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather or other events beyond our control.
Risk of loss and ownership of goods pass to you on delivery to the carrier. If a parcel is lost in transit, please contact us at hello@teerau.com; we will work with the carrier to locate or replace the shipment at our discretion.
We currently ship to: all EU member states, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway and Iceland. For other destinations, please contact us directly. Some items may be subject to shipping restrictions.
6. Returns and refunds
Because tea is a foodstuff, and for reasons of food hygiene, opened tea cannot be returned. Sealed, unopened tea may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of the product (excluding outbound shipping), provided it is in its original condition.
Teaware and accessories may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in their original packaging, for a full product refund excluding shipping both ways. Faulty or damaged items will be replaced or fully refunded, shipping included, on receipt of photographic evidence of the fault or damage.
To start a return, contact hello@teerau.com with your order number and the reason for the return. Please do not send anything back before receiving a return authorisation from us.
7. Subscriptions
Subscription services, where offered, run on a recurring basis. You may change, pause or cancel your subscription at any time before the next dispatch date. Changes or cancellations received after the dispatch cut-off take effect from the following cycle. No cancellation fees apply. Subscription prices are held for the duration of an active subscription but may change on renewal, with 30 days' notice.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including text, photography, tasting notes, design, CSS, JavaScript and layout — is the property of [Legal entity — pending] or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, republish or use this content for commercial purposes without express written permission.
You may share links to this site and reproduce short excerpts of text for personal, non-commercial purposes, with attribution.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please check product descriptions and contact us before ordering.
10. Governing law
